Wednesday 23rd June was ‘National Thank A Teacher Day’, and what better way to celebrate than with a prestigious Bronze Award for the Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone A-Level Team in the Pearson Teaching Awards ‘FE Team of the Year’ 2021!

Thursday 17th June saw staff and students from 91ÌÒÉ« taking on their biggest charity challenge yet in aid of St David’s Hospice Care. They went the #ExtraMile and ran, walked, cycled, rowed, swam, skied and danced their way towards covering as many miles as possible in 24 hours.

This week marks Volunteers’ Week 2021 – an opportunity to appreciate the hard work and valuable contribution of our inspirational learners and the projects they’re involved in alongside their studies.

Health and Social Care learner, Casey, jumped at the chance to gain extra knowledge and experience through Mind Matters - a project that supports the mental health and wellbeing of young people through a volunteer training programme.
